We are about three weeks away from the start of the first ever GVSCC Targa Florio Proxy. Seven cars have already arrived, many are en route, and the local guys are putting the finishing tweaks on their entries.

It is time to be getting your cars on the way. You never know how long Canada Post and Customs will take, eh?

Excitement is building, and the crowds of little people have been seen staking out the best viewing spots around the Targa and Grind.

If you can drop me a PM when your car is mailed, I will look for it in my mailbox.

The fun is about to start!

The Canada Post worker was busy today delivering small boxes containing Targa proxy cars. The collection almost doubled as five more arrived. I received cars from Keith Wells, Chris Walker, Tony Bovard, Bob Chapman and Christian Mayer.

About a third of the cars are now here and another third are still to arrive in the mail, the last third being locals who will hand me their cars.

If you haven't sent your car yet, the time is short for regular postal rate. After this you will need special delivery to get it here on time.

If you car is en route, please let me know, and give me a tracking # if you have one.

In the post to you today, Keith! I sent it Priority Mail, so it should be with you in 5 business days if Canadian Customs doesn't decide to go racing with it............... I used your magic Customs language on the form, so we'll see if that works.............

I included a Tech Sheet with the specs on the car. Looking forward to the racing!

I shipped my entry today from the MJH Galena Works home office.
Although stock in appearance, the details are listed for my actual first proxy entrant..

Slot.it 312PB body
Policar 312 Chassis with adjustable front wheels
Slot.it Guide for routed tracks
2MM grub screws retaining wire and braid
Paul Gauge tire on rear trued and rounded by my new tire razor
Front lead weight added based on my tests on my 2' x 8' routed test track (hope it works well)





I 'pre-removed' the rear view mirror, it would have been knocked off anyway.
Keith, it went 1st class mail. I have a good feeling it will make it by the start date. If it misses the first round I am not worried about it.
This run is simply to see real world proxy experience and see how my car prep works against the regulars.

I look forward to feedback and suggestions as I will be entering more proxies that are scheduled.

Canada Post was hard at work again with the arrival of seven more cars.

The box of four from the Isle of Man made it here in three days. That has got to be a record, eh? I also got cars from Ron Todhunter, Dave Zgoda and Bob Goulet. Nineteen out of towners have now arrived, and others are en route.

Thanks for following my instructions about customs declarations, no problems yet.
