The axle openings on the Paxton are quite large and allow for some deviation. It will work.

I just read through this thread again and noticed no posts since September. I know it is far off and that's good, as it gives Bob lots of time to get his meds right and get active again. Meanwhile, we need to keep the buzz going on this one, as May will come faster than we think, and it is mainly a scratch builders proxy.

Hi guys,

I was really looking forward to this proxy, but two things got in the way:

I located a set of scale drawings for the 1963 Hurtubise roadster and built a dead accurate model for the mold. I then created an RTV mold and cast several bodies. They looked great! I then placed the original, the mold and the bodies in a plastic bag at work (an inner city high school) and...they were stolen. It kind of took the wind out of my sails. I purchased a watson roadster body as well, but the interest was gone.

On top of that the last few months have been a bear for me, with a new school and job assignments (among other things I'm teaching Robotic classes, Principles of Engineering classes and Design & Drawing for production classes as well as running a US FIRST Robotics team) so I haven't even checked the list for months,

Maybe next year?!

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to bow out of this proxy. Too many cars to prep in a similar timeframe and putting quantity ahead of quality is clearly not working for me at this time.

I do have a nice Marmon Wasp resin body that would make a great project for someone and a very nice Auto Union Type C George Turner resin kit (body and chassis). They'll be for sale at a reasonable price if anyone would like to build them out.

I don't think I'm going to be able to make this one, chappy. Too many proxies at the same time; I'm getting crunched for time and the "fun" of building is turning into "work".......................

Too bad; as I have the Marmon Wasp and Auto Union Type C bodies in house now.
