Can we get "folders" for the various proxy/fun runs?

This is a question for Harry and the admins.

We have a lot of proxies/fun runs going on right now; which I think is great! Each of them usually has more than one thread associated with it; such as: "proxy X", proxy X - the tracks, proxy X - the builds, proxy X - results of each round. In some cases we have well over 10 threads that all relate to the same proxy/fun run.

I'd like to see a "folder" type of system used for poxies/fun runs in the future; one that would let us put all of the relevant threads under one heading. For example, the folder could be labeled: "La Carrera PanAmericana - 2016" and in that folder would go the rules thread, the registration thread, the builds thread and all the individual race results threads, etc.

Is this something that is possible? If it is, then could we use it for future proxies/fun runs? Thanks.

That would mean creating a specific subforum for each race. Such as the Club Connection forum where we have some specific club subforums.

It could be done.

I created a new one for the Dragonslayer Proxy.

That new subforum is now listed at the top of the main Proxy Forum.

This will work, as long as users/participants use them.

For faster navigation, the Proxy enthusiast should bookmark the main PROXY forum and save it to their favorites.

Thanks, Harry. I think that will help the board members a lot. I've received quite a few "where can I find X thread" questions, related to proxy/fun runs. This provides a nice solution.

I barely know what I'm talking about here, but I assume that when the race/proxy has run its course, these "folders" will disappear? How will someone find them later on? I suggest that there should be a message, last in the "folder", that links all the posts to the appropriate permanent topic. David and Harry will know what I'm talking about. I may have used the wrong terms.

As they races end and new ones take over, such as "Show-Me Showdown 2015" gets a new one at 2016, They can be archived in the same forum. I'll keep ALL topics archived for reference.

The ROAR Proxy and the Ford-Ferrari Wars Proxy folders are now full with the relevant threads.

I left the ghosts in place; just to be on the safe side, but will now go back and delete them.
