One of the teams managed to smuggle over some timing equipment from the track that allowed ET and MPH to be logged and after getting it set up, all the car numbers were thrown in a hat and the elimination format started!
(for ref, both cars were run off a common controller, eliminating variances associated with two separate controllers)
First to the line - it was Hogan Racing's #12 Zippo machine verses Arroldn's #40 Coors Light car!

Off the line, the Coors car had the jump, but the Zippo car had a fire in it's belly and ate up that advantage by 1/3 track and never looked back.

This match up was a race and a half! Out of the hole, the BP car came out strong, making it look like it was going to walk away with the round handily... BUT! The Crab Alley car quickly moved from crawling to sprinting and by half track was reeling the BP car in! When the cars crossed the line - everyone was thankful that there was timing equipment to make the call - as the BP car pulled off the win by INCHES making for THE closest race of the evening!
