Well Sheriff Oster Was by with his boys the other day even had a female hound to sniff out our shine business. Fortunately old Buck is a pretty persuasive pup hisself and the Sheriff is now one hound down but lots more on the way. The shine they never found but the delay was a pain. Well we are up and running again in prep for the next round and old Joe Dirt has the boys in shape . Seems this last batch pf shine has a little extra punch to it.

BARC Racing Headquarters





"We are pleased that our attention has paid dividends and that the BARC Porsche under the stewardship of Lard Snow had a successful race. Lard leaned a little more into the corners this race and the active weight transfer seems to have cured the ill handling car. This is once again a close series and everyone still has a chance to win this thing. We will be working with Lard and having a look at the race data to see if we can gain some more speed out of the car.

[Racing Bandit]

Weir Razin, Bandit Racing Team Manager, in his post race comments thanked the Volkswagen Factory advisors for their assistance over the past several weeks. He also praised the team in how they refused to let the miscues both from the driver and in the pits distract them from focusing on what mattered.......doing everything possible to provide the Bandit a competitive car.

In response to a question from Bob Palermo about if the Bandit has been struggling with the differences in racing techniques required between sedan and dirt track oval racing did confirm that, "Bandit does tend to forget during the heat of the moment that the brake pedal can and should be used during the race. Please remember that while racing his dirt track Sprint car he rarely touched the brake except to slow down for yellow flags or to stop after the race. [grinning] He admits that at times he gets so caught up in the thrill of racing he tends to forget that he can't just throw the car into the corner as he did with his 360. To remind him, we have mounted a small plaque that says 'Use the brakes dammit'!!"

Things are going well for Slothead Racing and we look forward to a showdown with Chappy soon as we do our best to bump him from the top podium position.

For those wanting to know what is most responsible for our turnaround and recent success, we have Mrs. Grump to thank. While other teams may use beautiful women to hide their engineering and driver incompetence, we've found that fear works as our motivational edge. The artistic rendering below has been placed in everyone's locker and is also mounted on the dashboard of our car. Everyone on our team performs at maximum capacity - or suffers the consequence of a swift wack on the back side.

Well seems that extra joy juice gave off some fumes that got the driver a bit buzzy.
So much ounch it lifted itself right out of the slot once. The other time old Pickles drivi g the car saw the finnish line banner and thought he had to stop for the border guards. When he realized he had it wrong old Harry was sneaking on by .
Oh and Sherrif Oster has 6 new hounds on the way hehehehe.

CJR RACING currently languishing in 8th position welcomes the break. The manager has demanded that the team return to Japan for motivational training along with remedial driving lessons. With a car that should be the class of the field, lack of results has caused ownership to establish some draconian consequences for failure.

[BARC 1]

This will cause BARC racing some grief. Lard Snow is on full expenses and his bar tab is becoming a larger portion of our budget then we had assumed. With the break we anticipate Lard will be finding ways to keep busy. These racing Playboys can spend a lot of money. I think he must be driving a Broken down Ford for transportation, as we keep receiving bills for "Escort Service" That thing is in the garage every other day it seems.

The Buckeye team is using this break to see if they can't tighten up some of the loose bits on the Mini (the driver's seat really isn't meant to move up and down and side to side as you enter corners)... Once that is done - they may even spring for a wash job to get the grease from the celebratory pizza left shiny spots on the car off...
