Slothead Racing is okay with a 3rd place finish. It turns out we love saying Bugatti.

Bugatti, Bugatti, Bugatti!

We're still in contention and ready for more races.

a little confused, the way I read it, the seed rankings are qualifying times and points are the final laps completed??

that means the Flying French tart was 2nd last on 44 laps after qualifying 2nd with an 8.2 sec lap
hope I got it right???

Yes, correct. Qualifying times were compared against the fastest car to get a comparative factor. Then each cars lap total was multiplied by their individual factor to get their overall points value. This seemed to favor the cars that could handle all three lanes well or could run a more consistent pace.

If all things had actually been perfect than each car should have received about 44.5 laps - most did. The best were above, the lesser below.

It's a little like the old European Index of Performance.

 I know we're just a bunch of hicks from down in here in the valley but this is way to complicated scoring for us here at D&D. I guess we lost...again. :angry-tappingfoot: I can't really blame the girls for this one, obviously my mechanics need to brush up on their suspension tuning.

Does D&D stand for Dumb and Dumber?

I like the variety of race hosting methods being used - gives us different ideas on how to do things.

Re: SIP 2018 round #5 Elra Park

The teams will travel to Elra Park for a new exciting round!

The drivers must prove their values racing Nascar cars.

You can choose your car in no particular order , except CAT Racing that will take the one last left.

The Ohio team would like to try some seat time in the Robo Racer Car!
(they figure there just might be some "Terminator" lineage lurking in there!)

Sorry about the mix up - I couldn't see the images when I picked and didn't know which car was being referred to as the Robo Racer.

Slothead Racing will take the #29. I assume the sponsor provides the team with several cases of candy so we can show everyone how much we love the product. Anyone got some milk to spare?
