:auto-crash: Congrats to everyone. Your teams obviously know what they are doing. I'm at my wits ends here. Running out of things to change to be competitive. :violin:

I can sympathize with Dave. Clearly we've entered the race vortex where everything goes downhill.

Many thanks for slogging our car around the circuit. Back to the drawing, er, choosing board...

The team is very pleased with our place!! Bandit seems to be getting the hang of this tarmac stuff. Mrs Bandit is taking bets on how soon it will be before the Bandit reverts back to his usual impatient self and starts over-driving the car. ;) Congratulations to T-County on his win, thanks to all of my fellow drivers and many thanks to Pepsi62 for hosting.

Congrats to the podium finishers!

Our team performed very poor on both races. Honstly we expected better results.
We will work hard to improve our results on Shelby-Hendrix Speedway

Thanx Pepsi62 to host the races.

Wow, the TC Lug Nuts team has made an impressive move to the top of the leader board. But, don't any of the other teams get discouraged, there's plenty of racing yet to be done.

The track crew at Shelby-Hendrix Speedway will be working overtime this weekend to prepare for the next round. Can Am cars have been the main series on the track lately, but the crew will be bringing the Trans Am cars on the track for some timing runs. If all goes well 3 Scalextric Javelins with the new inline chassis configuration will be readied for battle against 3 Pioneer notchback Mustangs, with one sidewinder Camaro added to the mix for fun.

Photos of the cars will be posted in a few days and selections will begin.

The team would like to thank the track and officials for a great hosting venue, race and reporting!
The team really came together this round - focusing hard on putting the Devil's Cut car on the podium!
The celebration afterward went into the wee hours of the morning - but with Mila K making a brief appearance early on, signing autographs and congratulating the crew and Jim Beam marketing people keeping the whiskey flowing - it was no surprise as the crew was in no mood to call it an early night!
:)
Nursing hangovers with bloody marys and "Days of Thunder" on the hauler TV - the discussion has been focused on how well the team came together for this race and what needs to be done to keep the focus and momentum going for the upcoming vintage T/A race!

With vintage pony car performance being something the team knows a thing or two about, spirits are high and everyone is looking forward to the next race!

SIP Race 5 at Shelby-Hendrix Speedway

This race will use Trans Am cars and pit inline Scalextric Javelins against Pioneer Mustangs, with two Camaros added to the mix. The available cars are shown below.
Image

The cars are lined up by decal number. Up front - #1 Javelin, #2 Javelin, and #6 Javelin. The #2 car is a renumbered #1 car I created to replicate the pair driven by George Follmer (#1) and Roy Woods (#2). Mark Donohue drove the #6 Javelin to the Trans Am championship in 1971.

In the back are three Pioneer cars - #15 Camaro (Mark Donohue), #17 Mustang (Jerry Titus), and #28 Mustang (Dean Gregson).

In the middle is the lone Scalextric sidewinder car - #11 Camaro (Hiroshi Fushida, and others).

These cars are all evenly matched and should make for some great racing. Race teams may begin selecting cars. A unique race format is planned and details will be released as soon as all teams and cars are ready to go. As host of the race I will take whatever cars is left after others make their choices.

This is going to be fun!

Bandit is liking the #15 Camaro. Will be nice to campaign the number he had on his 1:1 360. :auto-driving:

Normally I would never run a Ford but maybe I need to broaden my horizons. #28 Mustang for the girls.
