I would like to thank you one and all. I wish that I could write better so I’m going to borrow from this forum a few key points that I got out this "And yes, size may vary on 1/43rd cars"A really nice new theory... It should better read "...on cars called 43rd" Scale stays scale. Only the interpretation changes.
"If it looks right to the eye, I will not count beans"
Unfortunately I am a bit of a stickler for scale, Because I want my cars to look good on the track together or even sitting on a table. The difference between 1/43 and 1/40 may seem pretty small, but on some cars it can be 1/2 an inch or more! Until 1/43rd gets these things and full interiors I will stay on the fence..
....I know it can be done."And yes, size may vary on 1/43rd cars"

This is just as acceptable as my intention to build real scale. Not more, not less.makes the scale appealing to me..the ability to find interesting diorama style models to go with the slotcars. I doubt they are ever going to be as race able as larger scales, but for me it's ideal home track size..to focus on scale is important..not to the extent of rivet counting, but to ensure reasonable accuracy in size and proportions.
So quit nit picking each other idea's and lets get sharing and building our hobby cause if you let other's take your fun away shame on you but if you learn and improve your skill you might just raise your fun level up a bit.
SO IN ENDING GO HAVE FUN
you all boiled it down better... THANKS .
