That George Turner Falcon looks brilliant with some proper lean on it. Oh, I want. I want. I WANT!

And you know you really want to do a Dolly. ;)

I know first hand how hard this car and your other ones were to do and also how expensive. Hats off to you for another great creation of something not available in 1:32 ever before. Really awesome stuff!

Think I need taller body posts. But it does look good as a lowrider!

You won't be surprised that it's getting yellow paint ;)

And the chrome around the front end really helps the look

Daisy's car looks great so far. I'd have to paint mine light blue though...

Ditto.

And I am watching this one too. Of all the cars you have made, this mopar is the one for me.

I cheated a bit with the interior, instead of the normal vacform driver with resin head I put a different figure in

I found some early drawings which might be interesting for you to see, it shows the , , fascinating thought process of designing a chassis with steering and suspension.

The first thing was to get an outline of the bodyshell, which I drew up at 2:1 scale. I put on the "fixed" items like motor, tire diameter, rear axle with gear and the steering hubs. You can see the coil springs I had on the rear already.

Image

While doing this, I was sketching up how I thought these parts would work and how they could be manufactured
Image

I then put these onto the CAD system in roughly the correct place
Image

By this stage I was considering torsion bars with adjustable blocks that could slide to make them longer or shorter, the springs softer or harder.

The real benefit of 3D CAD is in 2 things - you can draw up parts and move them around to check for clearances, useful when steering or for suspension. The other advantage is you can create views of your parts and get in amongst it with a pencil!

And in an idle moment, I had some thoughts about logos

I like the first one, but it should be leaning over

This is the kind of thing I love - using the chassis on someone else's bodyshell. In this case a rally Citroen DS

I love this! Given that the hydropneumatic suspension used on these cars was extremely advanced and offered an exceptionally smooth ride for its day, adding your chassis to this car is a fantastic choice.

Did you have to modify your chassis at all to get it to fit under that body? I see where you've shortened the rears axle, but I'm wondering if the wheelbase had to be shortened at all.
