I am getting old. How could I forget that impossibly cute little Gulf truck? Yes, those are the ones I was remembering. Is this kit even more expensive than that one was? I wanted to get two of them, but I just couldn't justify the expense, so I spent that month's slot car money on 4 nearly new cars for sale on HRW.

The idea is to cram the biggest, most powerful engine you can find into the smallest, lightest bodyshell and drive it foot flat to the floor! You'll see Fiats, Fiestas, Metros, Peugeots, and even Minis like you've never seen before, most nowadays with two motorbike engines, although there's increasing use of a single large capacity bike-based engine and there are still many with V8 or V6 engines, often supercharged or turbocharged, sitting where the rear seat should be.

Just got my mini body in from Dave today and thought I would try some wheels I had on hand. These are Ninco Porsche Fuch's with 19x10 tires. The wheels are not too far out of scale but maybe with 18x10 or 17x10 tires it would look better? Just thought I would throw it out there as another possible option. I might just use these for this project but not sure yet.

Looks like I may be "In", David. I'm just about to get the Spanish pick up going - on the resin chassis it came with, if that's OK.

And I'll try and do another - the problem is to decide which one!
