Dec. 7th may we never forget

Today is the day we lost 2400 brave service men and women, may we never forget :flags-waveusa:

That was a little less than 10 years before I was born, and was the beginning of a series of events that effected my life in a million ways. Without naming them all, I'll just say that the attack on Pearl Harbor changed my family from having little connection to the military to a series of wars, sacrifices, mournings and triumphs. December 7th, 1941 was a landmark for my family and our nation alike. I'll always remember it that way.

This was just about 10 years prior for me too. Being a Navy brat I learned about it earlier than some other kids did. It was a lesson, about preparedness, that we should never forget (but, unfortunately seem to on a regular basis).

My uncle is a Pearl harbor survivor, so this rates high on our families memories. My dad assisted in the coin toss at the PAC12 Championship game last night, as my uncle couldn't make it. :)

You may be interested to know that in UK, Channel 5(one of the big independents), is showing the 2001 film "Pearl Harbour" this evening.

So some people here haven't forgotten.

Watching Ken Burns documentary "The War" if you have not seen it I highly recommend it. Dad was a Marine in the Pacific. Jim
