Well time to order the parts to get it back stock. I can't seem to find the stock axle in all this stuff. But I'll look one more time tonight and then order.

I finally received my car today, two days late but better than never. This is the first new Carrera slot car I have bought in quite a while and I have to say I am very impressed with the build quality of this car. The paint is exceptional and it looks fantastic, even better than pictures. I put in on the track and it performed nicely but lacked a little grip. A few moments with some sandpaper and the car performed much better and impressed quite a few of the local racers who were showing up for our regular race night. Thumbs up Carrera.

A couple of quick rules modifications added to first post:

We will accept PayPal for fees.
Track hosts may correct minor infractions to make the car legal to race.

Also officially changed the name of the proxy.

I spent some time with sticky back lead at the track last night and I think I need to reduce my rear tire diameter further to try to help get the center of gravity lower as it still wants to tip out of the slot more than drift when pushed in the corners - but it is proving to be a fun driving car either way! :)

Question: Is there a policy on wings? I was doing some testing last night at TooBad Motorplex when in a moment of inattention drove off the cliff and broke the wing off my car. I will hopeully find a way to reattach it a little more securely. Many clubs and events have rules where wings have to be present, at least at the beginning of a race.

Despite being a routed track, the slot is rather narrow and a full size Carrera guide catches and will not work, if that makes any difference.

That is a cool looking track!
If it is allowed - we will naturally all need info on what will fit in the slots so that the stock guides can be modified. :)

It is a very nice track, but if the stock Carrera guide won't work I am think we will pass this time around. Since it is the only track that requires guide modification I don't want to make a beginner's proxy more difficult. Also, without anyone else knowing the track it is hard to know how much and where to trim the guide. Thanks for the offer, but just not this time.
