The "88" has been in 91% isopropyl alcohol for 18 hours; was then completely white, then light gray (Tamiya primer) and now orange (Tamiya) with clear gloss overcoat (Testors). I'm waiting on decals from Patto, so it's on it's way to becoming a pseudo fantasy livery at this point. 19 is the number that I plan to use on a regular basis going forward for proxy races.

Thanks for the tip on the piano wire; where do you source it?

Hey Guys, I know some have cars built or pretty close. But, I was wondering if you all would have a problem if we postponed this for a few a while. Maybe somewhere around November. Right now I don't have much time or interest in doing another proxy build. Just have to much going on. Or another option is someone else could take it over if they like. Let me know what you think.

I'm fine with postponing. That should give me time to thoroughly test and tune my car(read that trash my car) or if necessary build another. I raced it the other day with reasonable success until a wire came off. Fixed it. That sucker's not going anywhere now!

If November works for you Rusty, let's postpone. Maybe we can drag Dave away from his new pressure pot long enough to finish his car by then also. :lol: :lol: :lol:

One quick question. Is the IROC proxy likely to be done by then? You guys are likely to have 100 pages on that thread before you even turn a race lap. You must be approaching some kind of all time thread length record. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Still prepping my car for this event. One question; is it OK to coat the fronts with something like nail polish and then true them back down?

I have a Can Am build to do so the 15th sounds good to me also. No paint work involved in that one. I will get with everyone and see if they are all still in.
