Some more progress on the Nr.8 Aubergine RSR, I was able to sand the Tamiya putty and get the rear end sorted. What I've done is of course not required…
I made sure the rear bumper matched the real RSR as best as I can and how it attaches. You can see I etched, carved, used the square backside of my #11 xacto blade to craft out the body lines with more definition and added the long bumper joints out to the end of the rear of the flares. This includes all the lines around the tail lens, the rear panel, whale tail grille, rear deck lid, front hood, front bumper, etc. I also removed the side rocker panel rubber bumper strips, these are under the door on the rocker. All in all, not that bad for my first resin build and second ever 1/32 scale Porsche body build. There are some little bubbles on corners that are proving to keep chipping back off after I fill them with putty. I'll fill with CA glue and fix them for good! Hopefully, I'll be able to shoot some primer soon.
Cheers, Thompson
